Yesterday we had to put the family cat down. Had her for 16 years. She held on long enough for my parents to move houses so that she could be buried there. By the end she was in so much pain from moving that the Vets had trouble pulling her arm away because she was in that much pain.
Everybody always said she only had a month left to live for the last 5 years but she didn't really start to show her age until about a year ago when she stopped cleaning her fur and trimming her nails.
She first showed up at one of my dads old work farms before we moved from that area in 1994. His boss announced that if somebody didn't take her they were gonna put her down, so my parents adopted her. My mum advertised everywhere for the original owners. They never did call but my parents got plenty of callers telling them that while they're not the original owner they did want to adopt her, since she was a Birman cat.
Funny how my parents named her Murtle, because anything they weren't going to keep for long was always named Murtle to them. But since the owners didn't call we ended up keeping her and she grew up with the family.

Random Journal entry about underage porn
It seems like every year this topic is visited by everybody again. One group thinks people should obey the laws, the other group thinking they should have a right to fap off to little children.
As I just demonstrated you can easily point to the opposite group and make some statement about them and why they follow that train of thought. Point to the "law" group and you can easily say they hate fanartists and anime. Point to the "pedo" group and you can easily say they want to ass rape a 5 year old.
But regardless, I've noticed that the "pedo" group are much more thick in the head about the policy. Apparently they ignored the policy when they
Random Journal entry about my bornday
I guess I should make this journal now. I turned 21 on the 27th of August.
I gotta say it was probably my favourite bornday of all time. Mainly because I got a 360 Elite. So now I can finally catch up with this generation of gaming (I'm not counting the Wii at this moment).
Now I need to catch up with everybody else with Achievements.
I got a 21st cup, but accidentally broke it a few days later http://forum.deviantart.com/community/complaints/1160951/
and I obtained a new Necklace, which is fairly nice.
Probably the biggest surprise I got was the "Death Note" movies. I wasn't expecting that at all.
Now I've just gotta get my life on tra
Random Journal entry about Vagrant Story/Yahtzee
So, last Wednesday, after 8 long years, I finally completed the PS1 game "Vagrant Story".
But don't take it so literal. I played it a lot back when I first played it, kinda on/off thing. After several years, to about the start of last year (maybe) I deleted my original file and started again. I got through the beginning and stopped at the second or third boss for a long time. Then at the start of this year, I picked it back up again and got into it again, playing it on and off then stopped playing. Then recently I was so determined to finish it that I forced myself into it until I at least finished the main story. Which I did (and I also fou
Random Journal entry about a joke
A female police officer pulled me over last night and gave me the usual, "Do you know how fast you were going?" questions.
I'm not the kind of person to lie, especially to a cop. I answered, "About 20 over the limit Ma'am". She responded with, "Just call me Jackie"
She then went on telling me that I was the first honest person she has pulled over and that she may let me off if I did a favour.
Apparantly there was a game going on where the police will try and get someone they pulled over to do something silly or ridiculous. I'm up for a good laugh so I agree.
Jackie then pulled out a dildo and some matches. I was all "WTF!?", but she quick
